The

Sound

Voyagers

Sound Voyages are intentionally crafted, guided sonic meditations that use healing frequencies of multiple instruments in unique combinations. By passing through these sonic landscapes, participants enjoy a depth of connection to their greater selves and experience the relaxation that comes so uniquely from that place of wholeness.

Jeannie McKenzie

Jeannie has been playing music professionally in a variety of contexts for  the past 40 years, and working as an energy medicine practitioner and sound healer for more than 20 years.

She recently moved from the SF Bay Area to Weaverville, NC. Prior to her moving, she held weekly sound journeys on her farm in the Oakland hills, and lead zoom sound journeys on a regular basis for Mountain Yoga in Oakland. She also created several zoom sound journeys both solo and in collaboration with Ward Spangler, a symphonic percussionist and fellow sound healer for The Marsh Theater.

Wolfgang Ettenreich

Wolfgang has recently moved from the SF Bay Area to Asheville, NC. He has been playing didgeridoo for more than 12 years. He performed in several large scale (sound healing) events in the SF Bay Area, sharing the transformative depth that comes from that magical instrument.

Previously he enjoyed playing with the Bay Area Didjeridu Orchestra led by Stephen Kent & Alan Tower (Samavesha Cave Concert Series: The Eternal Presence), with the Mahal Kirtan Ensemble (SF Bay Area), with Stephen Kent at the Solstice Concert at the Chapel Of The Chimes, Oakland, CA, at the Esalen Institute (Big Sur, CA), and many more.

Some impressions from previous attendees:

What a joyous afternoon! Soon after the sound journey began, I slipped out of waking consciousness into another state, like a lucid dream. I was gently and gradually brought back, as the sounds continued to dance around me. I re-emerged from the journey feeling complete and nourished, aware of the gentle vibrations still alive in my body.

Words feel inadequate to describe what is a magnificent sonic, visceral, and transcendent experience. Perhaps it’s best to try to describe the feelings afterward… nourished and cleansed, not unlike the feeling after a retreat or a walk through a sun dappled forest, at once relaxed and bubbling with life.

Eric

Sound Journey impressions… creative interplay & fluid conversation of instruments: singing bowls, didgeridoo, rain stick, gong and others… vibrationally energizing and soothing… I experienced a vibrational clearing/wake up call that continued after the music was over. Grounding and healing. Felt really good!!
